Over the past few years I've really gotten into skincare. It can be completely overwhelming to find the perfect product for your skin type, AND fix all of your problem areas while also doing preventative care! I've never really had bad skin, but I do struggle with redness and texture. The past few years I have been using Rodan + Fields (which you guys know I love and have been very happy with), but I'm never opposed to trying something new! I do have to be very careful when trying new products because I have SUPER sensitive skin! Like SUPER! Before I had any clue what skincare was all about I would just use whichever cleanser/wash I could find in my bathroom. Let's just say I found out real quick how sensitive my skin was, lol. Anyways, I have been testing out a new skincare line, and wanted to share with you guys. It's called YOUR Personalized Skincare. What I love about it is that it is formulated for YOUR specific skin type. It's also cruelty free and made in the US. When ordering your skincare, you take a brief quiz, and they make a regimen that best suits your problem areas, needs, and skin type. It comes with 4 different products: a cleanser, day cream, serum, and night cream. And guess what... it didn't make me break out!!! YAY! TAKE QUIZ HERE! PRODUCT BREAK DOWN + MY EXPERIENCEI loved the cleanser. It was very gentle, which I need for my sensitive skin, but wasn't SO gentle that you feel like it didn't do anything. The day cream was really nice and light, and has lots of SPF in it. I've never really thought sunscreen was important, but I've recently realized it's a preventative measure! So V important! This day cream had a nice fresh fragrance to it, and it didn't make me feel overly greasy after a little time of wear. Next is the serum, which was nice, but I wasn't crazy about the texture. It felt like it was gel based, and not the same consistency as the usual serum. I will say though that it felt like it tightened the skin. When I would use it I would feel like my skin was very firm looking (which I am ALLLL about, haha)! Lastly is the night cream. I would have liked for it to be a little thicker. It felt like it absorbed pretty quickly into my skin, but maybe that's normal (PS: I have combination skin). I didn't notice any huge changes in my skin within a month, but my skin did stay clear! There was no irritation or reaction, which is always my biggest worry when trying a new product on my skin. So I'd definitely recommend giving it a try! If you're interested in trying it, click HERE to take the skin quiz and get started! HOW I COMPARE IT TO R&DIf you're new to following me, or don't follow me and have just stumbled upon this post, I usually use Rodan and Fields for my skincare and REALLY love it! So after using the YOUR Skincare regimen I want to give y'all my honest opinion in how it compares to the R&D regimen I usually use (I use the soothe regimen).
I was actually very impressed that my skin remained clear with this skincare line! I didn't have any breakouts, extra redness, or intensified texture. That's a big win in my book! I will have to say though one thing I really love about R&D is how my skin feels after using the regimen: refreshed, super soft and clear... I didn't feel my skin had this same amazing feel when using YOUR Skincare. Not that it was bad at all, just an honest comparison! One thing I liked BETTER about YOUR than R&D was the smell of the products. I don't think the R&D products really have a scent, but this new skincare has a really light and fresh fragrance that makes you feel good and clean! All in all I totally recommend! So if you are looking for something new to try for your skin, I give my stamp of approval on this ☺️ I'd love to hear some feedback if you guys have tried it or plan on trying it! Y'all know I love trying new hair products, so of course I ad to test out some new products from one of my favorite brands, Living Proof!
I have shared their dry shampoo with you guys, along with their texture spray (highly recommend them all), but since I recently added some blonde to my hair, it seemed that the "restore" products were absolutely necessary, lol. The normal texture of my hair is wavy/curly, coarse, and frizzy. When I add bleach it always gets SUPER dry, and damages pretty easy. I've been growing my hair out FOREVER, so definitely trying to baby it while it's blonde. Here are the products I tested: the restore shampoo, conditioner, perfecting spray, and the smooth blowout concentrate. If you've never used Living Proof products before, prepare to be amazed. The smell of all of their products is absolutely amazing! So needless to say, the shampoo and conditioner leave your hair smelling wonderful! To be honest, I didn't notice much of a difference in my hair just using the shampoo and conditioner alone. However, when I paired it with the other two products, it left my hair feeling so healthy and strong. The Perfecting Spray might be my favorite. If any of you have really bad tangles when you try to brush your hair wet, you need this stuff! I spray it on the ends of my hair, after I've towel dried, and before I brush it. It makes those tangles nearly disappear! Once I have my hair all brushed out, I use one pump of the Smooth Blowout Concentrate. This stuff is just amazing on its own. if your ends tend to get dry or frizzy, this concentrate will solve the problem. If you have thicker hair, I would suggest sectioning your hair off when blowdrying it and using a little of this product in each section. Since I have super thin hair, it works to just run one pump through my ends before drying. I'd also recommend to start with one pump, and add more if needed... I made the mistake of using two pumps my first time and it left my ends a little greasy. Ya don't want that! I was super happy with how silky smooth my hair came out after blow drying it! It's normally a frizz ball! I think all 4 products together are great, but if I had to say which ones I think are a must, I'd say the perfecting spray and the smooth blowout concentrate. You can shop all 4 products above! And they all come in mini sizes, which is perfect to try them out! I'd love to hear y'alls feedback below of how you like it all if you try!
xoxo,
Those of you that know me, know I NEVER go without makeup! So the fact that I'm posting public pics with a bare face should prove my love to all of YOU, haha! In the past few years, I've been really interested in skincare. I've never had acne or breakouts, just the normal "once a month" monster on my chin (lol). I know my skin isn't bad, but like everyone else, I notice different problem areas. I would say my skin concerns are redness, enlarged pores, texture, and sensitivity. I have SUPER sensitive skin, and started noticing that different washes/cleansers/scrubs were making my skin even more red and irritated. Now, this is NOT an ad, and I do NOT sell this product, I am simply just sharing what I use and my personal opinion :) I started using Rodan & Fields about 4 months ago, and I am loving it! They have several different regimens you can purchase, based on your skin goals. I purchased the regimen for sensitive skin (it's called soothe), and I finally feel like my skin has some relief, woohoo! There are 4 products in the kit: a gentle cleanser, a treatment serum, a moisturizer, and a daytime sunscreen. You use the regimen once in the morning and once before bed. It seriously makes your skin feel UH-MAZING! To go along with my regimen, I got the hydrating serum, which you use before bed with the other products. Lastly, I put a coat of lash boost on my lashes (which is working like magic, by the way). I would totally recommend all of these products to anyone with sensitive skin. I know first hand it can be such a pain when everything irritates your skin. I can really tell that these products have reduced redness, and texture for me! I will definitely keep you all updated with the progress of my skin as I continue to use these products. In the meantime, I'd love to hear about what you guys like/use! Feel free to leave me a comment below! xoxo,
